“To thine own self be true”
This message jumped out at me today as I flipped to a page in one of the books on my shelf. It couldn’t have been more fitting with what I’ve been feeling internally.
Finding a strong foundation in this world can be difficult and even more so when you’re in the process of waking up to spiritual truths and on the path of ascension***all during a global pandemic***.
Its as if everyday something gets taken from you, you are asked to uncover more uncomfortable truths, and its like being thrown into fire all for the sake of growth… and still after experiencing these lessons, and purging out emotions and thoughts that have been infiltrating your system.. its like you have nothing to prove or show for it.
At times its hard to get out of bed because those negative thought forms replay in our mind the instant we wake up. The person we miss comes to mind, the financial restrains engulf us, the paper work thats forced upon us, the entities that work through the people around us, the pain in our chest begins to bubble up, and the tears start to flow.
In this state, the motivation to get up and continue on our mission is not in sight.
In this sunken place its easy to play victim, blame and point fingers, and make excuses why we can’t do the work that our creator has asked us to do.
If we’re going to make any promises in this life… make a promise to yourself and don’t you dare break it.
Promise to be true to yourself
Stop giving so much of your mental energy to the things that put you in that dark corner because a person who is true to themselves seeks joy for their life.
Stop keeping tabs on that person who is obviously dealing with their own lessons and karma and make sure your side of your street is clean so new opportunities can find their way to you.
Get up and create something beautiful because this world needs your input even when it seems like no one is listening.
Staying true to yourself is making sure you get back up stronger every time you fall.
Get really intimate with yourself and have long conversations with yourself about what needs to go and what needs to stay.
When you make your decisions stand by them.
[Don’t break the promises you make to yourself because those promises are with God too.]
One day you’ll look back at all that you’ve created, out grown, accomplished, built/ rebuilt and realize… we really are remarkable beings.
Make sure everyday you are doing something for your mind [something that enriches your mind], your soul [something that feeds your soul], and your body [something that excites/ stimulate the body in a healthy way].
^^^ You promise yourself these things everyday
And those waves of emotion that would hold you down for weeks, months, days, years,
Will now pass by in hours, minutes, even seconds when you get really good at it.
“To thine own self be true”
You are your truest love.
